Really good gameplay and graphics. However, I encountered a bug on quick play where the music does not play when retrying. Also, you might want to tell the players what the controls are because the control scheme you picked is unconventional at least with English keyboards. I really struggled to find what controls I were supposed to be using.

Eu realmente me esforcei para descobrir quais controles eu deveria usar.

Hello, Heytibo! The idea is really good. However, the time you have to complete the level is too short. It took me over a dozen attempts to beat level 1 and I cannot beat level 2. This is not good because at level 1, players are still learning the mechanics and, due to little time invested so far, they are more likely to give up if level 1 is very difficult. It would be best to grant more time, particularly in the early levels, to avoid discouraging new players.
It will also help if you allow players to reset during a level. If you make a mistake, it is annoying to sit through the rest of the level as well as the arrest and prison sequence. The longer a player has to wait until they can try again, the higher the chance that they will give up. Resetting will allow players to immediately get another try.

Heytibo responds:

Thanks :)
(this game is an old game jam project made a while ago, so it comes with its jam flaws)
the limitation was to do something in "20 second", so you have 20 second to finish a level.
Also, depending on your mouse sensitivity / setup the game is more or less easy. If I were to remake a game with this concept, I would do it a bit differently and really work on timing and movements for sure!

The art and the game mechanics are great. However, the music loop is too short, which makes the song annoying after a while. Next time, consider choosing a longer, more varied loop.

El arte y la mecánica del juego son geniales. Sin embargo, el bucle de música es demasiado corto, lo que hace que la canción sea molesta después de un tiempo. La próxima vez, considera elegir un bucle más largo y variado.

Hi, GlitchedSpirit
Thanks for playing! You can mute the music with the icon in the top right, so you can only hear the SFX.

This game is amazing. I love the theme of the game, the glow effect makes the simple graphics look great and the sound design is awesome. I mostly played quite sneaky by hiding in doorways and shooting through every so often because I didn't take damage until halfway through and I didn't know whether I was a 1-hitpoint-wonder. It was still a fun way to play. Great job!

The art is pretty good and the gameplay is amazing!

Hello, and welcome to Newgrounds. I like the assets and the level design looks good. However, the controls make basic navigation too difficult. The character moves too fast, which could be fixed by reducing the character speed a bit. The friction also feels too low. The ball is floating above the ground, so it may be best to either put it on the ground or increase the air resistance (if possible). Overall, the game shows promise but some numbers need to be tweaked.

Simple but effective game-play wise. The difficulty is about right. To improve this even further, you could try working to improve your art skills and sound design since those were the weaker areas, but this is a very fun game.

Hello, and welcome to Newgrounds! Unfortunately, your game could use a lot of work and is probably not ready for Newgrounds. Besides the difficulty being too high with both the speed and number of obstacles, the visuals are not good. The floor's UVs appear to be stretched, which is why the lines do not look right. Also, your background is not seamless, causing an obvious seam when it loops back around. Finally, I do not get why your game needs to flash so much all the time. It does not contribute anything to the experience and is uncomfortable for even me to look at.

Should you decide to work on your game and post it back onto the site, I would recommend giving it a more unique name than 'Game'. That will make your game more recognisable and easier to find.

The art's really good and I love the way you edited the Scratch sounds. However, I died to Hanzou and then when I respawned I was stuck with them right behind me and neither of us could do anything.
Also the Alucard fight was confusing. Sometimes I take damage from things that are nowehere near me and sometimes things hit me with no consequence. I think this is because Pico is off-centre and the objects make me take damage if they reach the centre. Moving Pico to the centre would likely fix this issue.
Edit: Looks like the Hanzou bug has been fixed. From your response, it seems like there is a communication issue. Your system makes sense when you explain it. It may be better it you place a glowing circle or something in the centre of the screen to better communicate with the player.

MetaPhoton responds:

hey thanks for the feedback! i also found an issue with the hanzou fight when respawning and will try to fix this, sorry. also, i wasn't able to recreate any of the problems with the alucard fight, can you explain how you got them? the objects are coded to go to the center then to pico before triggering damage so im not sure what could have caused this, possibly a room, respawn, or device glitch, im not too sure. thank you for the feedback!!

update: just so you know the hanzou bug should now be fixxed, lmk if this is not the case or you find any other bugs
